  39.     (404-641-8968).  All are PC Pursuitable except CompuServe.

  41.     The AMAC series of macros contain broadly useful QEdit macros I
  42.     wrote, and many macros were contributed by John Goodman, et al.
  43.     AMACxx.ZIP is uploaded to CompuServe IBMAPP Lib 0 (Lib 1 after 30
  44.     days in Lib 0), Exec-PC (414-789-4210), and SemWare
  45.     (404-641-8968).

  47.     A description and running instructions for each macro is in a
  48.     txtfile [filename].QM where [filename] is the name of the macros.
  49.  
  50.     The user is advised to read BOOK18.QM first since AMAC40.ZIP
  51.     requires many files be configured with the user's directory
  52.     containing the AMAC files.  After configuring, the simplest way
  53.     to load a macro for execution, for example BOOK18.MAC, is to type
  54.     "START BOOK" <Enter>.  All pertinent files will be loaded in the
  55.     "Ring" for viewing, and BOOK18.MAC is read. A brief description
  56.     of all macros is in ALLMACRO.INF.  The other new techniques for
  57.     loading and executing macros are described in BOOK18.QM.

  59.     For running and conversion of these macros, "QEdit and QMAC v2.1,
  60.     Feb. 1990" or later are required.

  65.     Any problems or suggestion, John Goodman and I would like to hear
  66.     from you.  I am especially interested in knowing if the new
  67.     macros in BOOKxx.QM work for you.  I have been using them for
  68.     several weeks, and I am encouraged by their versatility and
  69.     power.  They involve a new technique that has not been fully user
  70.     tested and are my first real effort to have a macro read a macro,
  71.     a heretofore not recommended procedure. Until this "macro reading
  72.     a macro" technique can be fully tested and proven to be viable, I
  73.     am recommending the user *not* use this technique in other macros
  74.     without full knowledge of it's pitfalls and limitations.

  76.     I can be reached daily on either SemWare, Exec-PC or NewWare. I
  77.     check CompuServe only once a month. I will also try to include
  78.     your useful macros in AMAC if you send them to me. John Goodman
  79.     can be reached on SemWare and Exec-PC. I hope you find some of
  80.     these macros useful. I have enjoyed writing them.
